Assistant Dean of Philanthropy

COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

The Assistant Dean is the college’s chief fundraising and engagement leader and will be responsible for managing the college advancement team and working closely with the Dean on strategic relationships and vision for Advancement. The Assistant Dean is responsible for sustaining and strategically planning growth in fundraising results in collaboration with university partners and in alignment with industry best practices. The Assistant Dean will lead and administer a team that includes Major Gifts Officers, Leadership Annual Giving Officers, and a small administrative staff. Our Advancement team works in close partnership with our clinical faculty, researchers and leadership, and interacts extensively with our animal-owning clients.

Director of Philanthropy

UNIVERSITY DEVELOPMENT – CENTRAL MAJOR GIFTS

The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for identifying, qualifying, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors to NC State University. This position will focus on a specific assigned region to maximize support to all areas of the University. As appropriate, the Director will also identify and coordinate the management of key volunteers in assigned regions. The Director will be expected to manage a portfolio of discovery and actively managed prospects while also collaborating with fundraising colleagues across campus.

Associate Director of Philanthropy

COLLEGE OF DESIGN

Reporting to the Executive Director of Philanthropy, the Associate Director of Philanthropy will help manage fundraising activities and support the achievement of the College of Design annual fundraising goals. This position works both independently and in conjunction with the College of Design advancement team and Executive Director for Philanthropy to build a pipeline of prospects and donors. The Associate Director of Philanthropy will collaborate closely with NC State advancement staff and volunteers in identifying, qualifying, and developing relationships with alumni and donors to solicit and secure private philanthropic support for the college.

Associate Director of Philanthropy

COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE & LIFE SCIENCES

The Associate Director of Philanthropy is responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with the capacity to give at the level of $25,000-$99,000. They will be a highly motivated professional who will be deeply involved in the fundraising efforts in support of all departments in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). This position will have an emphasis on individual donors and developing a pipeline for major gifts. Solicitations will be multi-channel, including, but not limited to, phone calls, mail, emails, and personal meetings. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy in CALS, this position will serve as a member of the CALS Advancement team.

Assistant Director, Annual Giving

COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND LIFE SCIENCES

The Assistant Director is responsible for serving as the annual giving liaison with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). The position will be the annual giving fundraising advocate, resource and expert for CALS while maintaining a strong working relationship with associated staff. In this role, the Assistant Director works with the Annual Giving team to manage and implement fundraising strategies which align with college and Annual Giving goals. The Assistant Director also monitors all data and trends for the College providing regular reports and updates. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Philanthropy and works closely with the Annual Giving staff, the College and the University Communications team.
