Bio

Brad Bohlander serves as the top communications and marketing official for NC State University. In this position he oversees NC State’s brand identity and central communications functions including marketing, public and media relations, crisis communications and issues management, web and digital communications, social media, internal communications and creative services. He also oversees development communications and stewardship, special events, trademark licensing and corporate marketing/brand sponsorships for the university.

Brad serves as the official university spokesperson and sits on the Chancellor’s Cabinet as NC State’s lead communications and marketing strategist. He also serves on the University Diversity Advisory Committee, University Council and other university leadership committees. Brad supervises a talented team responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing and communications strategies to elevate the reputation of NC State among key publics and help achieve the university’s strategic goals. He and his team have driven significant positive change in campus-wide communications culture and led the university to new levels of collaboration, visual and message consistency and communications success.

Brad’s team has been consistently recognized for excellence, including earning top industry awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the Public Relations Society of America and the League of American Communications Professionals, among others.

Before joining the Wolfpack, Brad served as executive director of public relations at Colorado State University and as associate director for university relations for the University of Colorado System.
