Vice Chancellor and General Counsel
Eileen Goldgeier has served as Vice Chancellor and General Counsel at NC State University since March 2010. Previously, Goldgeier served as General Counsel at UNC Wilmington from 2003-2010, Associate General Counsel at NC State from 1997-2003, and an attorney in the Office of the Vice President and General Counsel at The Johns Hopkins University from 1992-1997. Prior to practicing law in-house for higher education institutions, Goldgeier was an associate attorney at the law firm currently known as Venable LLP from 1988-1991. Goldgeier earned her B.A. in environmental studies (honors) from Brown University and J.D. from Emory University School of Law. Goldgeier is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (Director from 2005-2008) and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
